You agree that when participating in these classes or any type of exercise or yoga practice, either online or face to face there is a risk of physical injury.
By participating in any part of this practice, you agree that you do so at your own risk, are voluntarily participating in this Practice and assume the risk of any and all injury to yourself or your baby.
You agree to release and discharge Carly Gloak / Reflect Yoga / Let’s Talk Birth and Baby from any and all claims or causes of action known or unknown rising out of negligence of the above mentioned parties.
Here are some general guidelines to help you practice safely:
◦ Always listen to your body. If something doesn’t feel good, you experience pain or soreness or you become too hot, stop and rest.
◦ Pregnancy is not a time to push yourself or test your limits. Aim to use around 60-70% of your range of movement / capacity / strength.
◦ Never put any pressure on your lower belly or bump.
◦ If you are experiencing pelvic pain or discomfort, avoid taking your knees too far apart when sitting, kneeling or squatting. Avoid wide standing stances, adjust these by bringing feet hip width apart or closer. Avoid balances where weight is distributed more to one side of the body than the other.
◦ If you are suffering from high blood pressure then do not take your hands and arms overhead.
◦ If you are suffering from low bloody pressure, avoid folding forward abs taking the head lower than the heart.
◦ If you are over 28 weeks pregnant, when laying on your back, place a folded blanket or cushion under your pelvis to avoid restricting blood flow to the uterus.
